Stuzzi is a blend of both fresh and dried peppers. The Calabrian peppers are slowly dried in the shade in southern Italy. This traditional whole-pepper natural drying process takes 1-2 months and is key to preserving the peppers’ delicate earthiness. Stuzzi also lacto-ferments fresh cayenne peppers to add a layer of bright, high-toned citrus flavor as well as umami. Stuzzi is the hot sauce for (and made by) people who know good food.
We love this versatile hot sauce on eggs in the morning, drizzled on clam chowder, and served with oysters and mignonette. A beautiful upgrade from the traditional table hot sauce!
